Materials are half of every job. Cotiza treats them that way.
A quote you win — or lose — comes down to getting materials and their prices right. Here is exactly how materials work in Cotiza today, and where a store's product link lives in the app.
What the app does today
When a contractor describes a job — by voice or by typing — Cotiza builds the estimate as a real breakdown: each material and labor line with its quantity, unit, and a price suggested from data for the contractor's area. The contractor stays in control and can edit any line before sending.

The Materials tab: prices with a product link
The app also ships a market-prices screen. The Materials tab lists common construction materials with reference prices for the contractor's city, filterable by category. Every row that has a product reference shows a "View product" action that opens that material's product page at the store, in the browser.
This row is where a retail partner's link lives. Each material carries a per-store reference URL today; an approved affiliate link replaces that reference, item by item — same screen, same behavior, no redesign needed.

Categories covered
The price data covers the materials contractors actually buy, organized in the same categories the app shows:
- Electrical — breakers, outlets, boxes, switches.
- Plumbing fixtures — faucets, valves, pipe, disposals.
- Lumber and drywall — studs, sheets, tape, mud.
- Paint — interior and exterior, primers.
- Roofing material — shingles, underlayment, flashing.
- Flooring, HVAC equipment, and landscaping supplies.
Where the link will also live Coming soon
On the roadmap, Cotiza will guide the contractor from an approved estimate to a ready-to-buy materials list — so the jump from "the client said yes" to "the truck is loaded" happens inside the app. That flow is planned, not shipped; what you saw above is what ships today.
Commissions never change what the app recommends — quantities and items come from the job the contractor described. Read the full Affiliate Disclosure, or see how the product works end to end.
